By helping out in our workshops, you will help the kids forget the horrors of the war for at least a few hours. You are welcome to sign up even if you have never volunteered before because we will prepare you before the workshops.

All you need is a big dose of enthusiasm and in return, you will be a part of great adventures!

You may join two types of programs:

1. As a volunteer - building a Superhero kit: in this workshop, with your help, the kids will build a cute robot with a paper body, a heart, and eyes that light up at the touch of a button. It's a classic "maker" activity where you cut, color, glue, and learn about the world of power elves.

2. As an instructor - game development, animation creation: here you will need some basic programming knowledge to be a really effective mentor for the children, as each participant will create their first computer game or animation during the 90-minute session. 😎

If you have already written a program in a block system before (e.g. Scratch), you will definitely be a super mentor!

In both cases, we're counting on you to:

• Assist and support classroom and outdoor activities with a proactive approach

• Share knowledge and experience

• Maintain an energetic and enthusiastic atmosphere during the workshop to ensure that the children have as much fun and experiential learning as possible

• Manage and prepare the equipment and facilities on site

 

What is essential for education and volunteering:

• You care about the mission of the foundation, you believe in it as much as we do

• It’s not bad if you're studying or studied at one of the IT universities, or are a hobby programmer :)

• You like working with children

• You're good with time management and great at communicating

• You have a lot of enthusiasm and a sense of humour

It is an advantage:

• Proficiency in a programming language

• Any previous teaching experience, especially in IT projects

• Experience working with disadvantaged children, refugees
