We're taking extra measures to ensure your children are safe. Learn More
Hundreds of thousands of families have been displaced due to the war in Ukraine. To date, more than 23,000 Ukrainians have registered in Hungary in search of a temporary or a new, permanent home.
At the initiative of Skool, 5 NGOs are organizing free programmes for the children fleeing the war in Ukraine.
We aim to help these kids process and forget the traumas they have experienced, by spending time with them during these programmes, while also setting up LEGO playgrounds in 30 different locations across the country.
Programs
We offer a variety of outdoor and indoor activities for young people, such as robot building, physical exercises and improvisation games, sensitizing board games, experiential education in groups, playful language learning and skills development, fairytale post, children's yoga, summer camp and, for the older ones, app development.
In addition, LEGO playgrounds will be set up in more than 30 locations across the country, where children will be introduced to the world of creativity through playing in a safe and friendly learning environment.
The exclusive sponsors of the project are the LEGO Group and the LEGO Foundation, which have decades of experience with the Learning through Play (LtP) methodology.
At Skool, we provide children with a creative experience through exciting and playful, project-based learning. With our helpful and attentive instructors, they can learn how to build a robot or how to develop a mobile app.
The Momentán Company - Creative Base Foundation (Momentán Társulat - Kreatív Bázis Alapítvány) is preparing simple, easy to learn, and enjoyable drama and improvisation games to be played in pairs and groups. The exercises will give children laughter, release, and connection with themselves and each other.
The Amigos for Kids Foundation (Amigos a gyerekekért Alapítvány) focuses on playful language learning and skills development. Their fairy-tale-based thematic activities are varied: from creative to logical, from individual immersion to teamwork, from focusing fine motor skills to jumping.
One Smooth One Reversed - Association for Inclusion (Egy sima egy fordított - Egyesület az Inklúzióért) helps children adapt to changed life situations, connect with each other and support the development of coping strategies. Its experiential pedagogy group activities are interaction-based playful activities that focus on developing social competencies.
The AdniJóga team invites 5-10-year-olds to a playful, stimulating and relaxing children's yoga session. During the classes, we will warm-up, strengthen the body and develop the nervous system with the help of fairy tales and games. The yoga classes end with rhymes and relaxation.

From the very first moment, we were sure that we wanted to join hands with several NGOs to carry out this initiative. We believe that together with them we will provide children a complex program based on movement-play-creativity that is unique in Hungary.

The Foundation for Inclusion (Egyesület az Inklúzióért Alapítvány) sees the realization of inclusion as its primary goal and mission. As a community, we work to make the world a more accepting and open place, and although the main profile of the organization is children with disabilities, inclusion at all levels is of utmost importance for us, and so it is also our primary aim to help refugee children.
